The Friday Night Funkin': Benjine is a full-fledged recreation of Friday Night Funkin' using the Godot game engine and an fangame engine for Friday Night Funkin' mods.

  • Accuracy - Made to be as accurate as possible (whenever possible) to what's currently available in the original FNF, gameplay and all
  • Flexibility - Characters, levels, cutscenes, options--you name it, you can add it to the base Benjine. Need to make heavy changes? Create your own experience as an advanced mod!
  • Extensibility - Use the Godot editor and any feature of the engine as the modding editor for the Benjine

Start modding with the Benjine here! Or also support it on GameJolt!

Note: This HTML5 version of the Benjine IS TEMPORARILY OUTDATED!!! also it uses WebGL 2.0. For the most up-to-date WebGL 2.0 and WebGL 1.0 (GLES2) versions, play them here. Also, the desktop versions are the optimal way to play.

idk if its on my end, but the music isnt at all really synced, cool ig tho.

aw. it sucks that not all 4 arrows can be pressed at the same time. also, bug: you don’t have to press an arrow for a long note to register.

Hey, I'm working on a beat mapper app for music-based games. It's called MBOY Editor (https://vfpe.itch.io/mboy-editor) Do you want to try it for your game? Vic

could you consider making a mobile version for the itch.io version?

jmhhv

love it

Engine seems really good, just wish the wiki had more info and explanations for both experienced coders and complete numbskulls

eh it's alright

It's a really good engine, very responsive, I kinda wish you could change the scroll speed (song speed option changes the song itself sort of)

cool man
